Welcome to The Laundry Cleaning Centre. By using our self-service or service-wash facilities, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. General Conditions
1.1. Customers agree to provide accurate information when booking services.
1.2. We reserve the right to refuse service if items are unsuitable, unsafe, or heavily soiled beyond normal laundering conditions.
1.3. Prices for all services are displayed in-store and on our website and may change without notice.
2. Service Washes
2.1. Service-wash turnaround times are estimated to be 4 hours however this is not guaranteed. Standard completion time is same day / next day – subject to workload and machine availability.
2.2. Customers must check all pockets and remove items such as pens, tissues, coins, keys, or other objects. We are not liable for damage caused by items left inside garments.
2.3. We do not guarantee against shrinkage, colour-run, weakened fabrics, or damage caused by pre-existing conditions.
2.4. Delicate or dry-clean-only items must be declared. If not declared, we are not liable for damage.
3. Ironing Services
3.1. Items must be clean and suitable for ironing.
3.2. We are not responsible for burns or marks caused by hidden stains, defective fabrics, or heat-sensitive materials not declared by the customer.
3.3. Hangers and packaging supplied are standard; customers may request their own hangers but this is at their own risk.
4. Alterations & Repairs
4.1. All alteration instructions must be clear and accurate. We recommend customers try on items to demonstrate the required fit.
4.2. Once an alteration has been completed, no refunds can be offered for incorrect measurements or change of mind.
4.3. We are not liable for alterations that fail due to weak fabrics, old garments, or materials in poor condition.
4.4. Estimated completion dates are provided but may vary during busy periods.
5. Pick-Up & Delivery Services
5.1. Pick-up and delivery times are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather, or operational issues.
5.2. Customers must ensure items are securely packaged and ready at the scheduled pick-up time.
5.3. If no one is available at the agreed pick-up or delivery time, additional charges may apply for re-delivery.
5.4. We are not liable for loss or damage caused after delivery is completed and the items have been handed over or left in the designated safe place (if authorised by the customer).
6. Liability & Compensation
6.1. While we take reasonable care with all items, compensation for loss or damage will be limited to the current value of the item, not the original purchase price.
6.2. We do not accept liability for:
- Items with pre-existing damage or excessive wear
- Colour fading, shrinkage, or stretching
- Items incorrectly labelled or not suitable for machine washing or ironing
- Delicate trims, beads, sequins, buttons, or embellishments
6.3. Claims must be made within 48 hours of collection or delivery, supported by the receipt and photographs.
6.4. Please ensure that all items are checked before collection.
6.5. We are not responsible for any items left in pockets, bags, or garments.
6.6. Any existing stains, damage, or special care requirements must be brought to our attention before washing.
6.7. Pricing is based on the final load size, the type of items, the materials and fabrics, and the drying time required. All orders are assessed in-store upon receipt, and the final price will be confirmed before washing begins.
6.8. Collection and delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to traffic, workload, or store capacity.
6.9. While we aim to complete all orders as quickly as possible, same-day service cannot be guaranteed if the store is busy, machines are fully occupied, or additional items are provided beyond the original booking.
6.10. Items brought to us in a damp, mouldy, mildewed, or heavily soiled condition will be cleaned with the utmost care; however, we cannot guarantee the complete removal of stains, odours, or mould, and cannot accept responsibility for any permanent marks, discolouration, or damage resulting from the pre-existing condition of the fabric.
6.11. Whilst every care is taken, we cannot be held responsible for colour bleeding, shrinkage, or deterioration caused by the age, condition, or nature of the fabric.
6.12. Customers will be notified as soon as their order is ready for collection or delivery.
6.13. Uncollected items will be stored for a maximum of 2 months from the date the order is completed. After this period, if no collection arrangements have been made, the items may be donated, recycled, or otherwise disposed of at our discretion.
6.14. Cancellations made on the scheduled collection or delivery day will incur a £5 cancellation fee to cover operational costs.
7. Uncollected Items
7.1. Items not collected within 30 days may be donated, disposed of, or recycled.
7.2. We will attempt to contact customers before taking any action, but the responsibility to collect items rests with the customer.
8. Payments
8.1. Payment is required in full before items are released or delivered.
8.2. For subscription or regular collection services, payment must be up to date before the next scheduled pick-up.
9. Changes to Terms
9.1. We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of any changes.
